The first Angal/Varma in the original packet is supposed to be Ying/Liu – this is fixed in the POI version.
Please help us out by posting the resolutions used.
The wildcard teams at the CFL State Qualifier 2010 will be:
Bellarmine BK (Jacob Baker & Tanay Kothari) – 1
CLASH MR (Philip Mayer & Bob Rose) – 1
CLASH LS (Gavin Landgraf & Jamie Silva) – 1
Leland DL (Rachel Deghuee & Samuel Lin) – 2
Leland LR (Alexandra Lee & Melody Rasouli) – 1
Lynbrook NM (Tejas Navaratna & Ritik Malhotra) – 1
Lynbrook NS (Akshay Nathan & Pargat Singh) – 1
Of the 9 varsity PoFo/Parli teams Lynbrook sent to the tournament, there were 8 3-1s and a 2-2. Wildcard fail :/
Nathan/Singh may not go together, so that WC probably won’t matter.
But yes, wildcard fail
How does this CFL wildcard system work? There’s just have a straight-qual system in my league, with no regards to preliminary tournaments. Just curious.
Each school can send 4 parli/pofo combined teams to the state qualifier. If a school sends at least 2 teams in both events, it gets 2 bonus slots. Any team that went 4-0 at a preliminary league tournament does not count towards the entry cap, and is hence a wildcard. Wildcards are also power-protected, meaning that a wildcard team cannot hit another wildcard team in the first 3 rounds on the qualifier (although Mary/I had to hit Tony/Remi in round 3, so the tab does screw up sometimes). Essentially this means that each school can send 3 parli teams plus all its wildcard teams, but there are some deviations: last year, Lynbrook had 1 PoFo wildcard, 1 parli wildcard, and sent 2 teams in PoFo and 6 teams in parli.
In other leagues, wildcards factor into the state qualification process. Teams with multiple undefeated records autoqual to state without having to go to the state qualifier.
