I forgot the Round 2 topic.
Thanks!
Out of curiosity, how come the first two leagues in 09-10 only had 3 rounds, and how come 08-09 had 2 leagues the entire year, while 09-10 had 4 leagues in one semester?
Well, part of that anomaly is because I switched to Public Forum in preparation for Nationals/Berkeley later in the 08-09 season. The topics existed but I didn’t debate them and don’t know them. :/
However, in 09-10 our league switched from Debate only tournies (3+F) to some Debate only and Speech/Debate (2 Speech + 2 Debate + Finals), so that’s why the little switchup occurred.
Here are topics from the first two rounds of 2010 GGSA State Quals:
1A: THW reform education policy
1B: THW rescue California schools
2A: TUSFG should honor its educators
2B: TUSFG ought to value reducing Iraqi violence over respecting Iraqi sovereignty
If I find the others, I will post them.
Why does 2B sound so familiar?
Oh right, it was used at St. Francis. Does anyone else find this problematic, given that St. Francis had several of the GGSA teams that also attended the state qualifier and thus got extra practice on that resolution?
Calm down, Artem.
