Point of Information presents the California Cup

Posted on 22 Feb 2010 by Artem Filed under: News

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the first annual California Cup will be held at Lynbrook HS on Saturday, April 3.
The Cup will bring together sixteen elite teams from throughout the state, providing them with top-notch competition and judging. The tournament will include 5 preliminary rounds, each adjudicated by two critics, and will break to semifinals. The final round will be decided by four experienced critics and a floor vote serving as a tiebreaker.
Certificates of attendance will be presented to all qualifiers. Cup awards will be given to all semifinals participants, the top three speakers, and, to recognize the effort judges put into their decisions, a trophy will be presented to the most preferred critic.
