Narayan Subramanian and Belinda Tang are the 2009 California State Champions
Congratulations to Belinda Tang and Narayan Subramanian from Lynbrook High School (pictured to the left) for defeating Valencia’s Zeke Schumaker and Nick Hall to capture the 2009 CHSSA State Championship in parliamentary debate. Narayan and Belinda are coached by Sean Mumper, Zeke and Nick are coached by Kim Forbes and Joe Marcucilli.
This victory continues Coast Forensics League’s six year streak of having a team in finals of parli at CHSSA (that is, every year since the State Tournament added parli). CFL debaters placed second in 2004 and 2006 and won the title in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
