Happy Birthday, Point of Information!

Point of Information was started by Patrick Lin and myself on April 14th, 2009. The website was announced by Robert Ying the day after. Two days later, Alice Lin made four site designs, one of which was democratically selected (the poll was rigged). Before that, the website looked like this. Alice’s fifth design (which will be celebrating its birthday in three weeks) is still forthcoming.

Aditya Majumdar was the website’s first editor; he officially received this title on June 15th, 2009. Jason Alafgani became the first non-Lynbrook editor on 08/24/09. Erik Camacho joined on 09/27/09. Iain Lampert is the newest editor to date, joining us 12/17/09.

I would like to thank Plin, Robbie, Alice, Aditya, Jason, Erik, Iain, and everybody in the parli community. We’ve got a pretty cool website :) .

Agreed. This is a cool website. Happy birthday. What you guys have done to impact the parli community is very impressive.

Because the 5th design’s birthday is in the middle of AP testing I won’t have it out on it’s birthday. Sucks, but sorry.

  • Alice says:

@Patrick: Don’t worry about it. Because of issues with navigation / info architecture, I’m looking to do a complete redesign once summer starts.
