The Analy Speech & Debate Team extends an invitation to teams interested in attending the 3rd Annual Banana Classic on September 17th! There will be novice and open divisions in parliamentary and policy debate (new to the Banana Classic this year). Before the league and university invitational season begins, the best way for varsity and novice students alike to get back in the swing of things (or embark on their debate careers) is with a tournament.

This is not only a GGSA tournament – any team can register. Detailed entries in the attached format can be submitted to Analy coach Lynette Williamson at db8coachwilliamson@gmail.com. Shortly after the tournament, parliamentary debate results will be posted on Point of Information.

    Results?

    I just posted results, Ben.

On behalf of Analy, I’d like to thank every team that came to make the Banana Classic possible once again. With a tournament more than double the size of the former precedent, we’ve decided that next year will see a computerized system in tab. It used to be easier and more cost-effective for our small tournaments to use a handwritten system, but it appears our tournament and the parli boom in the Bay Area have outgrown such ways! Here’s to a fantastic season to come, and many more beyond that.
